Letter Days Story is now riding high on the success of their latest single “Save Me”.  Gaining a steady stream of airplay in tastemaker stations like 89.9 Magic, RX 93.1, and Jam 88.3,  “Save Me” captured the attention of the hip mainstream  audience that has always been craving for new and original OPM band music.  Letter Day Story attracted a new wave of followers, particularly in their social media streams, venting out their clamour to hear more songs from LDS.  Hence, the  EP “Breakaway” is now released. ‘Breakaway’ consists of six tracks – including ‘Save Me’ – ‘Smile’, ‘Breakaway’, Ikaw at Ako’, Hinahanap’, and ‘The Hero Within’ – the last track having been featured on AXN Channel where LDS are ambassadors.

Celebrate the Holiday season with the country’s multi-platinum crooner Richard Poon as he releases “Christmas with Richard Poon.” This is his very first Christmas album.

“I’m so thankful to MCA Music for giving me a chance to finally do a Christmas album. This is my gift to all my fans who supported me through the years,” said Richard Poon

Richard, who will be sharing the stage with legendary singer/songwriter Jose Mari Chan in a concert entitled “The Songwriter and the Crooner” on December 2 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), sings yuletide favorites like “Last Christmas”, “Christmas Song”, “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”, “Merry Christmas Darling” and “Grown Up Christmas List”. It also includes the carrier single, the well-loved Christmas track “Jingle Bells” which features talented jazz vocal trio Baihana (composed of Mel Torre, Krina Cayabyab and Anna Achacoso).

“Collaborating with Baihana was such a blast,” said Richard Poon. “It’s amazing to work and record with these three talented and lovely ladies and hear such great results on record.”

Richard can also be seen regularly at ASAP Rocks as part of the popular ASAP Sessionistas. His previous albums “I’ll Take Care of You” and “For You” are muilti- platinum success in the Philippines. Richard’s current full album “I’ll Be Seeing You (Deluxe Edition)” which features his collaborations with top singers Nina, Sitti and Ms. Lea Salonga, is also doing well as evidenced in the retail charts.

Hijo, the newest band to hit the local music scene with some familiar faces, signed a record deal with the number one music company in the Philippines- MCA Music (an affiliate of Universal Music Group). It is composed of ex-Bamboo members Nathan Azarcon, now on vocals and bass, Vic Mercado on drums, Ira Cruz, Radioactive Sago Project’s Junji Lerma on guitars, and Jay Orduña on keyboard.

“We are so glad we found a label that shares the same vision we have. We found a new home in MCA,” Nathan said.

Hijo joins MCA Music’s roster of the Philippines’ top bands which includes Urbandub, Franco and Chicosci. The label is also home to top international bands like Maroon5, All Time Low, Superheavy, Neon Trees, among others.

Watch out as MCA Music releases their debut album which the band describes as “Kung Fu Rock.” It will also include the single “Tamalee” which charted on top music channel MYX.
