For his last episode of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, Jay Leno is bringing in the most appropriate guest to usher the transition: Conan O’Brien. The famously contoured Leno places the famous redhead in the guest seat before he passes the torch to O’Brien as the show’s new host. The final episode of The “Tonight Show with John Leno” is going to be aired on Saturday, May 30 on Jack TV.

Jay Leno, who is capping off 17 years of helming the late night program, has invited a power-packed line-up of guests for his last week of manning the “Tonight Show”. Mel Gibson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Wanda Sykes and Billy Crystal are coming in with musical guests Lyle Lovett, Dwight Yoakam, Sarah McLachlan and Prince.

Performing on the finale episode is James Taylor, whose music was heard by Leno on the radio when he left Boston to pursue a career in TV.

His predecessor, Johnny Carson, marked 30 years of hosting by showing various nostalgic clips to a reported audience of 55 million viewers. For his departure, Leno has something else cooking up.

“I have something really unusual and different planned, something really out of left field that we’re going to end on,” Leno said. “It’s something really personal and really unusual…it has to do with our show and our staff and I think it’ll make people smile.”

Conan O’Brien’s pilot show as the new host of the “Tonight Show” is going to be telecast on June 2. The pilot episode has fort its running themes — rock, comedy and change – courtesy of Pearl Jam, Will Ferrell and Conan O’Brien himself.

As announced by the band in their official website, Pearl Jam will be the first musical guest for O’Brien’s latest show. Eddie Vedder and his band are set to perform songs from their upcoming studio album. Admittedly a huge rock fan, O’Brien ended his stint at “Late Night” with an electrifying performance by The White Stripes. Fellow “Saturday Night Live” alumni Will Ferrell is also bound to grace the stage with his eclectic personality.

The show will have a whole new look but shall retain its sense of humor, to be provided by O’Brien. “Television is changing rapidly, and I want to make sure [the new ‘Tonight Show'] isn’t too buttoned up,” O’Brien told reporters at the NBC Television Critics Association conference.

Catch the final episode of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on May 30 (Saturday) with live telecast at 3:00 PM and primetime telecast at 11:00 PM and the pilot of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien on June 2 (Friday) with live telecast at 3:00 PM and primetime telecast at 11:00 PM only on Jack TV seen on Global Destiny Cable channel 32, Cable Link channel 41, My TV and on over 300 cable operators nationwide.
