One lucky boy and girl will become part of Cartoon Network history, voice-starring in the new CG- animated movie, Ben 10: Destroy All Aliens

Manila (November 3, 2011) Cartoon Network is offering its legion of Pinoy Ben 10 fans the chance to win the ultimate experience of a voice part in its all new CG-animated telemovie, Ben 10: Destroy All Aliens. One lucky boy and girl will create Cartoon Network history with boy-hero Ben Tennyson, guest starring in this highly anticipated movie, set to premiere globally in 2012. Toon into the Premiere of The Amazing World of Gumball

MANILA (September 29, 2011) – What’s Cartoon Network? It’s a FUN Thing! Pinoy kids will switch on to a brand new era of Cartoon Network entertainment on October 1, as the channel celebrates its awesome new look with the premiere of the award-winning animated sitcom, The Amazing World of Gumball.

Already a smash hit in the US, The Amazing World of Gumball will have Pinoy kids laughing out loud as they follow the funny adventures of Gumball, a kid who faces the trials and tribulations of any 12-year-old; like being chased by a rampaging T-Rex, having a robot steal his identity or dressing as a cheerleader to impress the girl of his dreams. Normal just got a little weird.

Gumball, who is really a blue cat with a giant head, is part of an extra-ordinary suburban family who just happen to live in an ordinary town. There’s Dad, a 6’ 4” pink rabbit who stays at home while Mom works in the rainbow factory. And their kids are pretty standard too: besides Gumball, there’s his sister Anais, a 4-year-old genius bunny and Darwin, a pet goldfish who became part of the family when he sprouted legs.

MANILA (July 6, 2011) – This rainy season Cartoon Network will take kids on mind-boggling adventures and have them rolling-on-the-floor laughing as the Channel offers all-new series and premieres in July.

All-New! Alien Network

The out-of-this-world adventures start with the Ben 10 aliens in Alien Network on Saturdays, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Each Saturday for seven consecutive weeks, a different alien species will take center stage with its very own back-to-back episodes marathon. Fans can sit back and revel in the Ben 10 universe, which will feature aliens from Ben 10: Alien Force and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien.

Series Premieres

Kids can then take a jolly break with the premiere of Season 2 of The Garfield Show airing weeknights at 6:30pm starting July 4. When he’s not gobbling lasagna, taking up couch space or toying with Odie, Garfield is busy being one hip Hollywood cat. Watch as this ultra lazy, funny and free spirited cat gets into all sorts of wacky misadventures.

But wait, kids wanting even more comedy need to tune in to Angelo Rules, weekends at 9:00am, and get the low-down on how to get what they want, do what they want and become what they want. Mystery, Thrills and Loads of Adventures this March on Cartoon Network!

MANILA (March 15, 2011) – Cartoon Network fans should get ready for an awesome dose of mystery and non-stop action from the mystical past to the near future, as all the best toons converge on the Channel for a month of ultimate fun.

Cartoon Network continues the E.V.O. smackin’ adventures on Sundays at 9:00am, as viewers gear up for the Rex-treme with new episodes of Generator Rex. Plus dog lovers can check out the all-new live-action series K9. Catch the journey of a robotic dog built of mysterious alien technology. He befriends a trio of teen companions in his quest to investigate all manner of mystery and menaces from beyond the stars or between dimensions. Kids can be part of their mission on weeknights of March at 9:00pm on March 14, as they set out to fix the rips in time-space manifesting around the globe.

Cartoon Network is set to start 2011 with a bang with its awesome new series Generator Rex! A huge hit in the U.S., the new series is set to wow Filipino audiences during its premiere on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 9:00am!

Kids are in for some serious excitement as they join 15-year-old Rex, an extraordinary teenager who takes on mutant monstrosities by morphing his limbs into powerful machines via microscopic nanites pumping through his body. As the global organization Providence’s ultimate weapon, Rex is determined to cure Exponentially Variegated Organisms (E.V.O.s) and protect

the Earth from evil doers such as his powerful archenemy E.V.O. Van Kleiss.

From the creators of global phenomenon Ben 10, comes an epic adventure featuring one kid’s journey to save the world while finding his true identity. The show’s creators, Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau, and Steven T. Seagle of MAN OF ACTION Studios share exclusive details on the new series:

What, or who is Generator Rex?

Generator Rex is a teenage boy named Rex who woke up one day with no memory of his past and has the ability to grow amazing machines from the microscopic nanite machines living in his body. For as long as he can remember (which isn’t that long!) he’s been working as a hero for the government agency Providence to combat the out-of-control nanites in other people.

How did the concept behind Generator Rex come about?

Generator Rex was created by MAN OF ACTION Studios, a four-man creative group made up of Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau, and Steven T. Seagle – who were also the creators of BEN 10. A different version of Rex originally appeared in a comic book written by Kelly and drawn by Rouleau called M-REX. When the four guys turned the comic into a cartoon, they kept some of the basic ideas (Rex’s machines, nanites, Six & Bobo, Providence) but reinvented almost all the ideas to make Generator Rex the show that’s currently tearing up American TV!

What are nanites, and why are they so important to the show?

Right now all anyone knows about nanites is that they are incredibly small and powerful machines. They were invented by man, but in a catastrophic moment known only as “The Event” billions of nanites were released before they were ready and fused into every living organism on earth. While most nanites remain dormant in their hosts, some go active, turning their host into a hulking monster known as an “E.V.O.” Only Rex has the ability to tell the nanites in his body (and others) what to do – and that’s how he’s able to use them to build machines that seem to grow from his limbs. So nanites are important to the show because they are both the thing that Rex fights and the thing he fights them with! Nanites are good and evil – depending on whose hands they’re in.

How does an episode of Generator Rex come about, from start to finish?

Each episode starts with an idea – usually from MAN OF ACTION or our ace story editor, Rob Hoegee. From there the writer of the episode writes an outline which everyone at Cartoon Network has to approve. Once that’s done the script is written – usually 2 or three drafts and clocking in at about 34 pages. The amazing voice talent – anchored by former movie Spy Kid Daryl Sabara – records the script with the help of our incredible voice director and recording engineer. The artists then take over – an episode director leads a team of artists as they storyboard the entire episode as well as design and paint the props and backgrounds. Once

that’s all approved the show goes international – where our Korean partners complete the full animation. From there it comes back to producer John Fang who rough cuts an episode. Then it’s off to music, and a final sound mix and edit and there you have it! A full episode…about a year after that first idea!

Will we see Generator Rex evolve over time like Ben 10: Alien Force has, or will each episode be standalone?

Well, we just started! So right now we’re just thinking of the next cool story we can tell. But if the world loves Rex half as much as they’ve loved Ben, then anything is possible!

Why do you think kids should watch Generator Rex?

The main reason kids (and adults!) should watch Generator Rex is because it’s an epic adventure on a global canvas that still boils down to one kid having to journey through the fight of his life in order to save the world and find his true identity. There hasn’t been a broadcast cartoon with this kind of scope in a long time. Another great reason to watch it is because the creative staff – writers and artists and actors alike – is doing awesome work! The show looks great, sounds great, moves great – it’s one-of-a-kind when it comes to quality.

MANILA (December 7, 2010) – Cartoon Network is pulling out all the stops to give kids the most delightful December ever with weekly spectacles, an awesome event and loads of new cartoons!

Celebrate the season with Cartoon Network’s resident chef apprentice, Chowder as he prepares a Christmas feast of fun at the “Merry Giveaway” event on Saturday, December 11 from 10:00am to 6:00pm. The unique, free-for-all party brings the fantastical world of Marzipan City right into the heart of SM Mall of Asia, inviting kids to walk through a life-sized dinner table spread with gigantic candy canes, holly and Christmas cake. Kids can enjoy exciting Chowder-themed stage games, fun booths and bring home awesome prizes and freebies. Making the event ever more special is a special meet and greet visit from Chowder.

Then make way for an enormous holiday spectacle like no other, as Cartoon Network joins SM Mall of Asia’s Grand Festival of Lights Parade.
