Kathy Griffin is back with the third installment of her Emmy award winning reality show that chronicles her journey in Hollywood as a so-called “D-List” celebrity. My Life on the D-List Season 3 premieres on July 25, Sunday at 11PM on Jack TV.

Banned from most talk-shows on TV, Kathy’s no-holds barred style of humor normally lands her in hot water as she insults most of Hollywood ’s top stars. Not the smartest game plan for someone who wants to be on the A-list! Adjusting to her newly single status, this season accompany Kathy as she enters the celebrity dating scene and travels from London to a maximum security prison to perform her stand-up routine. This D-Lister has to put in the work to pay the bills.

Returning with Kathy is her trusty assistant Jessica that amazingly can answer Kathy’s every need and her endearing parents John andMaggie who are behind in her in every thing she does. Joining the FUN is Tom, her tour manager and company whipping boy and Tiffany her assistant’s assistant. Watch out for celebrity guests Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys, blogger Perez Hilton and British comedian Ricky Gervais.

Kathy’s honesty and unashamed ambition on the show is both funny and real, it is this, and her hilarious one-liners, that draws in viewers and is hailed by critics. In fact it is this third season of the show that earned her an Emmy for “Outstanding Reality Program.” Proving to the world that her reality show is not fake or scripted when she let the camera’s continue to roll as she received the tragic news of the her father’s death. Poignant and powerful, this is reality TV as its best.

Appearing as Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton, Fey and Poehler’s impersonation of the two received rave reviews. Apart from looking like Palin, Fey was highly praised on perfectly imitating Palin’s accent and mannerism. Based on the book of the same name The Last King Of Scotland, July 17 tells the fictional story of a young Scottish doctor who travels to Uganda in the 1970’s. James McAvoy plays a just-graduated doctor, Nicholas Garrigan who moves to Uganda to find work. While working in the country he meets the new President Idi Amin (Forest Whitaker) and is invited to become his personal physician in Kampala and along the years he sees how tyrannical his friend treats his subordinates.

This July 24 see Hubert Selby Jr’s 1978 novel Requiem for a Dream adapted for the screen. The powerful adaptation features Jared Leto, Jennifer Connelly and Marlon Wayans dealing with their personal imprisonment. Taking place in Brooklyn , New York where drugs are easily obtained a Requiem for a Dream depicts four paralleled individuals and their menacing addiction to heroin, cocaine, and diet pills.

Keia Knightley and James McAnvoy star in this tale of star-crossed lovers who are driven apart by one small lie on July 31. Ian McEwan’s NovelAtonement, set in 1935 England during the second World War, sees 13-year old Briony damatically change the course of multiple lies when she accuses her older sister’s lover of a crime he is not guilty of. A well read, spoiled girl, Briony thinks that she knows everything there is to know, however it takes her a lifetime to learn what love and passion really is.

Having lost his job last season Coach Eric (Kyle Chandler) gets a break when the town is split into two new school districts. Taking up the position of coach of East Dillon High, he puts together a new team. But this new team and school are hardly like his former. Transferring over with Coach Eric is geeky Landry Clarke(Jesse Plemons) who makes the team as a kicker. Having been standing on the sidelines for so long, it is finally his time to shine on the field.

Based on a book and movie of the same name, Friday Night Lights was adapted into a TV drama by Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13). The show has been hailed for its realistic portrayal of Middle America and has won an Emmy for Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series.
