Jack TV celebrates 150 episodes of Family Guy
For over 10 years Family Guy has amused audiences with crazy antics, cheeky humor, impressive musical numbers and hilarious cutaway gags. Since debuting in 1999 the show has earned itself a cult following of fans around the globe. PremieringAugust 15, Sunday at 8PM with a three hour marathon on Jack TV, Family Guy gets ready to celebrate its 150th episode with its ninth FUN-filled season.
Following the everyday not so normal lives of the Griffin family: klutz Peter Griffin, as voiced by Seth MacFarlane the show’s creator; on-edge wife Lois (Alex Borstein); plain-Jane daughter Meg (Mila Kunis); not so smart son Chris (Seth Green); diabolically clever 1-year old Stewie (MacFarlane); and Brian (MacFarlane), the Griffin’s alcoholic family dog.
Coming up this season, see Stewie and Brian travel through alternate universes, spies Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase (guest-voicing as themselves) move into Cleveland’s old house, and Peter gets an admirer at work.
In addition to the regular cast, Season 9 of Family Guy brings in stars Charlie Sheen, Elijah Wood, James Woods, Hugh Laurie, Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Dwayne Johnson, Chace Crawford, Anne Hathaway, Carrie Fisher and Jason Mraz to guest star.
Airing under Jack TV’s SACK (Sure-fire Animated Comedy Knock-outs) block of shows that promote good-humored, smart and well-written animated comedy shows. Family Guy is only the second animated series in television history to be nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series at the Emmy’s, the first was The Flintstones back in 1961.
The three hour Family Guy Marathon of Season 9 will run every Sunday until September 26 in preparation for the upcoming new season in October which is CLOSE to the US telecast.
