Universal Networks International launches Universal Channel in the Philippines

A new entertainment channel is making its way to the Philippines . Universal Channel - a channel for the world’s favorite dramas, comedies and movies will be available in the country from 26 July 2010, on Destiny Ch. 90, Cable Link Ch. 50, Sky Cable Ch. 33 and on all major provincial cable providers nationwide.
Seen in over 99 countries by 37 million viewers around the world, Universal Channel is the flagship entertainment channel from leading media company, NBC Universal, a brand synonymous with great music, blockbuster movies, theme parks and television. The channel showcases character-driven TV series and movies that are powered by big personalities and rich plots. Universal Channel programming lineup also includes highly acclaimed shows: House, Monk, Flashpoint, Greek and Criminal Minds. And an original production – Shattered – a police procedural following the unconventional antics of a homicide detective (Callum Keith Rennie from 24 and Battlestar Galactica) will launch exclusively on Universal Channel at the end of this year.
