Chippettes ooze with girl power in “Alvin and the Chipmunks 2″ 0

Alvin, Simon and Theodore meet their match as the latest singing group, The Chipettes, take center stage in the upcoming family movie “Alvin and the Chipmunks 2: The Squeakquel.”
In the film, the world famous singing sensations are at the height of their musical careers, in great spirits.  But life is about to change dramatically for Alvin (voiced by Justin Long), Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler), and Theodore (Jesse McCartney) when Dave, the Chipmunks’ friend-father-figure was accidentally hit by the giant Alvin billboard during a concert.  With every bone fractured in Dave’s anatomy, he is forced to stay in the hospital for an indefinite period – leaving the Chipmunks at a loss during his absence.  But Dave, being responsible and dependable had immediately made arrangements for Alvin, Simon and Theodore to go to school and eventually fell under the care of his cousin, Toby.

Directed by special effects whiz kid Scott Stewart, “Legion” stars Paul Bettany (“The Da Vinci Code”), Dennis Quaid (“The Day After Tomorrow”) and Tyrese Gibson (“2 Fast 2 Furious”).

Tis a season to be jolly on Cartoon Network! From December 21 to 25, celebrate Christmas the Cartoon Network way with many beloved toon stars! Kicking off the celebration are the Bean Scouts and the charming 60s-style rock ‘n’ roll hunk in Camp Lazlo’s “Kamp Kringle” and Johnny Bravo Christmas Special on December 21 at 11am, followed by Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends’ “A Lost Claus” and Ed, Edd n’ Eddy’s “Jingle, Jingle, Jangle” on December 22 at 11am. Superheroes are also lining up to join the party in Ben 10’s “Merry Christmas” and Justice League’s “Joy and Comfort” on December 23 at 11am.

An extraordinary true story in “The Blind Side” 0

Sandra Bullock (“The Proposal”), Tim McGraw (“Friday Night Lights”) and Oscar® winner Kathy Bates (“Misery”) star in Warner Bros. Pictures’ “The Blind Side,” which depicts the remarkable true story of All-American football star Michael Oher.

In the film, teenager Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron) is surviving on his own, virtually homeless, when he is spotted on the street by Leigh Anne Tuohy (Bullock).  Learning that the young man is one of her daughter’s classmates, Leigh Anne insists that Michael—wearing shorts and a t-shirt in the dead of winter—come out of the cold.  Without a moment’s hesitation, she invites him to stay at the Tuohy home for the night.  What starts out as a gesture of kindness turns into something more as Michael becomes part of the Tuohy family despite the differences in their backgrounds.

Meet the girls of “Zombieland” 0

“There are very few beautiful, young actresses who have the comedic sensibility and the diversity to be able to show all the sides of the character that Emma has created in this movie,” says director Ruben Fleischer.  “She’s already proven her comedic prowess in films like `Superbad’ and `The House Bunny,’ but the character of Wichita is not necessarily a comedic role.  She’s a femme fatale, a classic hot, badass chick.  What’s amazing about Emma is that she can portray all that and also has the comedy to back it all up.”
