glee12Columbia Records and Twentieth Century Fox Television today released select songs on iTunes featured in this week’s episode of GLEE, including cast versions of Diana Ross and Lionel Richie’s “Endless Love,” The Pretenders’ “I’ll Stand By You,” Jennifer Paige’s “Crush,” Paul Anka’s “(You’re) Having My Baby” and Bill Withers’ “Lean On Me,” as well as a cast mash-up of The Police’s “Don’t Stand So Close To Me” with Gary Puckett and the Union Gap’s “Young Girl.”

Animation Council of the Philippines honors Zabala 0

The Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. (ACPI) honorsJose Zabala Santos with a posthumous lifetime achievement award in the 3rd Animahenasyon Pinoy Animation Festival, which is slated to run on November 25-28, 2009 at the Gateway Mall, Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City.

Two years ago, the lifetime achievement award for animation was given to Larry Alcala. The main objective of this award is to recognize the pioneers of Philippine animation, and the underlying motive behind this is discovering our own animation identity.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince available this November from Warner Home Video 0

Wizards and muggles beware!  No one is safe as Harry Potter returns for his sixth year at Hogwarts in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which arrives on VCD, DVD & BLU RAY this November 15 from Warner Home Video. The entire ensemble cast is back for the sixth installment of the record-breaking franchise based on the best-selling book series by J.K. Rowling.

In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Voldemort tightens his grip on Hogwarts as Harry and Dumbledore work to find the key to unlock the Dark Lord’s defenses. But the students are under attack from a very different adversary—teenage hormones.  Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.
