Believers never die! The Greatest Hits of Fall Out Boy

From a Michael Jackson tribute, a trip to Africa, an adorable bulldog, director monkeys to kissing scenes with Kim Kardashian, people may think that Fall Out Boy has done it all. Yet, the true sign that a rock band has truly marked their territory in the genre they belong to is a Greatest Hits album. With the release of Believer’s Never Die, Fall Out Boy gives a special treat for those who have followed them over the years.
It’s a trip down memory lane. From Patrick’s weight transition, Pete’s increasing jump trajectories and styles, Andy’s developing tattoo canvass and Joe’s clean to very dirty look, listening and viewing to their music and videos reflects an evolution with chapters that are plotted in ways only Fall Out Boy can do.
It all started with a friendship between the members themselves with roots that go as far as their high school days. Even when they started, the group gave much importance to their fans that their name even came from one of them. Their independent life was brief as they were immediately signed by Island Records, an affiliate of MCA Music Inc. that released their album From Under the Cork Tree which garnered tons of fans internationally and locally thanks to the hits Sugar We’re Going Down and Dance Dance.
Then they released their album, Infinity on High which became the tipping point of the band in the Philippines. They became so big in the country that there was immediate demand for them to visit and have a sold-out concert at the Araneta Coliseum. Their songs became anthems almost instantly with the likes of This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race, Thnks Fr The Mmrs, Me & You and many more.

True enough, the group released Live in Pheonix which came in DVD and audio CD version. It was spearheaded by an impressive remake of a Michael Jackson legendary hit, Beat It. Fall Out Boy later on released their fifth studio album, Folie a Deux that reached gold status in the Philippines. Their success once again paved the way for the group to visit local shores once more for another concert. During the show, the group also took footage of the concert crowd for a world tour DVD.
With their awards, tours, collaboration with music’s legends and increasing fan base, it is high time for Fall Out Boy to have their greatest hits album, Believers Never Die. Stay tuned for the premiere of the video of their new single, Alpha Dog at MYX Music Channel which gives a reminiscent glimpse of the group’s journey as well as their crazy antics, it could pass as a segment for jackass.
