A whole month of learning on SKYCABLE Preview Channel
SKYCABLE Preview Channel 22 marks the whole month of August with a sneak peek at some of the world’s most informative programs from various learning and documentary channels. Discovery Channel’s “Survivorman,” an engaging series that documents Les Stroud’s adventure as he spends nine harrowing weeks alone in a variety of survival situations, is now seen every Monday, 10 PM on Discovery Channel (channel 39).
In Animal Planet’s “ Malaysia Uncovered,” viewers will be taken to a fascinating journey into the diverse tropical wildlife of Malaysia and its surrounding areas. Animal lovers will get up close with Borneo ’s pygmy elephants, dugong, and a man-eating python, among others. “ Malaysia Uncovered” is shown every Saturday of August, 9 PM on Animal Planet (channel 40). Discovery Science’s “Weird Connections” on the other hand, is shown every Saturday, 7:30 PM on Discovery Science (channel 123).
Trace the roots of the “Seven Deadly Sins” from August 18 to 24. The new series takes an insightful look at lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, anger, pride, and envy and what they mean in Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. “Seven Deadly Sins” is seen every Friday beginning August 7, 11 PM on HISTORY (channel 153). Finally, celebrities face off with the irrepressible William Shatner in Biography’s special preview of “Shatner’s Raw Nerve Series” from August 25 to 31. The new series will see one of Hollywood ’s most beloved and versatile actors as he banters with famous guests in his edgy and off-beat way. “Shatner’s Raw Nerve Series” is shown every Wednesday 10 PM on BIOGRAPHY (channel 154).
